Kabaneri Bushi: Steamblade

Second of the three Koutetsujou no Kabaneri inspired bushi designs.

Tanks full of compressed liquid superheat the blade and vent steam along its exterior. This is done to enhance combat potential and/or inflict impairment. Steam can also be released en masse to form a screen for cover or tactical withdrawal.
